Having Faith<\/h4>\n

A lady from Columbus, OH who was on a pilgrimage to the Shrine of Our Lady of Consolation in Carey, OH was very interested in viewing the display cases that we have in the Lower Basilica. These cases contain items associated with miracles, e.g., crutches, braces, etc., that have happened through Our Lady\u2019s intercession at the Shrine. This woman was looking for a small pair of shoes with a note that she wrote and dropped off at the Shrine 24 years ago as a testament to her healthy baby girl, \u201cFaith.\u201d This woman and her husband had been trying to conceive a child for years with no success. She journeyed to the Shrine to pray for the gift of a child, and shortly after completing her pilgrimage, she conceived. When Faith was born, this pilgrim sent the Shrine a pair of Faith\u2019s baby shoes with a note. Upon discovering Faith\u2019s baby shoes in the display case with the original note, she burst into tears and then showed Br. Randy a current picture of Faith, who is now in college and living a healthy, full life. Faith\u2019s mother was overwhelmed with gratitude to our merciful God for the miracle of her healthy baby girl through the intercession of Our Lady of Consolation all those years ago.<\/p>\n
