Con la recepci\u00f3n de la Cruz Tau, s\u00edmbolo de la Orden Franciscana, y el abrazo de la comunidad, Jaime inicia un camino de exploraci\u00f3n de dos a\u00f1os con los Franciscanos Conventuales. Proviene de una familia muy fiel (su padre fue recientemente ordenado di\u00e1cono) y se ha ido acercando cada vez m\u00e1s a su Iglesia en los \u00faltimos a\u00f1os. Jaime jug\u00f3 f\u00fatbol americano universitario durante un a\u00f1o en Sul Ross State U., pero luego dej\u00f3 la escuela para trabajar como cocinero en un club de campo y tambi\u00e9n como cocinero voluntario en un refugio para personas sin hogar.
