Esta sencilla t\u00fanica, capa de hombro, capucha y cuerda alrededor de la cintura, como vest\u00edan todos los campesinos en la \u00e9poca de San Francisco, se convierte en su atuendo.<\/p>\n<p>&nbsp;<\/p>\n<p><a ref=\"magnificPopup\" href=\"http:\/\/www.franciscansusa.dev\/franciscansusa.org\/wp-content\/uploads\/2017\/08\/IMG_0963.jpg\"><img loading=\"lazy\" decoding=\"async\" class=\"alignright size-medium wp-image-6569\" src=\"http:\/\/www.franciscansusa.dev\/franciscansusa.org\/wp-content\/uploads\/2017\/08\/IMG_0963-300x225.jpg\" alt=\"\" width=\"300\" height=\"225\" \/><\/a>La palabra<em> h\u00e1bito<\/em> proviene de una palabra latina <em>h\u00e1bito<\/em>, <strong>para poner en una forma de vida<\/strong>. As\u00ed estos doce hombres inician su proceso de Noviciado, con una duraci\u00f3n de un a\u00f1o y un d\u00eda.<\/p>\n<p>&nbsp;<\/p>\n<p>En 1220, el Papa Honorio III decret\u00f3 que se estableciera un noviciado como per\u00edodo de discernimiento. Este c\u00e1lculo de a\u00f1o y d\u00eda impar proviene de la pr\u00e1ctica medieval de reconocer a un siervo fugitivo como <em>gratis <\/em>si pudiera residir sin ser descubierto en una de las ciudades emergentes durante un a\u00f1o y un d\u00eda. <em>Si un novicio puede perseverar durante un a\u00f1o al d\u00eda fuera de su antigua vida, tambi\u00e9n \u00e9l se convierte en un hombre libre en una nueva vida espiritual.<\/em><\/p>\n<p>&nbsp;<\/p>\n<p>Tuve el privilegio de dirigir a estas doce novicias en un retiro espiritual a partir del d\u00eda siguiente a su investidura con el h\u00e1bito franciscano. El pasaje de las Escrituras para el retiro fue la par\u00e1bola del regreso del Hijo Pr\u00f3digo como se relata en el Evangelio de Mateo. Al reflexionar sobre todos los personajes de esta par\u00e1bola, el padre, el hijo mayor y el hijo pr\u00f3digo, consideramos c\u00f3mo podr\u00edamos vernos a nosotros mismos en todos los que se mencionan en la par\u00e1bola.<\/p>\n<p>&nbsp;<\/p>\n<p>Despu\u00e9s de esta reflexi\u00f3n, se ofreci\u00f3 la oportunidad del Sacramento de la Reconciliaci\u00f3n a todas las novicias. As\u00ed investidos del h\u00e1bito sagrado y agraciados tambi\u00e9n por el Sacramento de la Reconciliaci\u00f3n, los novicios comienzan este per\u00edodo de discernimiento bajo la direcci\u00f3n de Fray Joseph Wood y Fray Maurice Richard.
