John Florence
John Florence’s journey into the world of watercolor painting began during his college years, where he developed a particular interest in wildlife art. This passion took a more serious turn in 2013 when he attended a transformative painting workshop in North Carolina, which deepened his commitment to the study and production of watercolors.
After dedicating 43 years to practicing veterinary medicine in Louisville, KY, John retired in January 2024. This retirement has allowed him to devote more time to his artistic pursuits. While he enjoys painting various subjects, his primary focus is on landscapes and still lifes, capturing the beauty and tranquility of nature and everyday scenes.
In addition to his artistic endeavors, John serves as the worship pastor and director of music at his church. He and his wife, Vickie, reside on a charming small farm in Corydon, Indiana, where they find inspiration in their serene surroundings. John Florence’s diverse experiences and deep passion for art continue to enrich his work and the lives of those around him.
