The profound, yet simple, insight of St. Francis and the friars is to live the Gospel, the teaching and actions of Jesus, today in our world. The friars also bring this insight to their Franciscan ministries. The Evangelical life, living the Gospel, breathes new life into the Church and Franciscan ministries. The Franciscans were not founded for any other mission than to live the Gospel.<\/p>\n<p>\u200bFranciscan ministries flow from our prayer and fraternity. Francis said to the friars before he died: \u201cI have done what is my part of doing, may Christ show you yours.\u201d We reach out to the poor and marginalized in our world, bringing the Good News of God\u2019s Love in Christ Jesus.<\/p>\n<p>Conventual Franciscans live our mission of rebuilding the house of God today through serving in the Roman Catholic Church in Franciscan ministries that include missionaries, scholars, educators, artists, composers, chaplains, confessors, lawyers, laborers, teachers, writers, musicians, cooks, social workers, campus ministers, parish priests, administrators, and advocates for the poor and marginalized.<\/p>\n<\/div><\/div><\/div><\/div><\/div><\/div><\/div><\/section>","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"I HAVE DONE WHAT IS MY PART TO DO, MAY CHRIST SHOW YOU YOURS. -ST.
