He was welcomed at the Catholic Center by members of the Diocesan clergy and the lay staff of the Diocese. His Episcopal Ordination will take place on May 5.<\/p>\n<p>A Conventual Franciscan Friar of the Province of Our Lady of Consolation, Bishop-elect Stowe said that \u201ca Jesuit Pope named Francis has chosen a Franciscan educated by Jesuits to be the Bishop of Lexington.\u201d He added: \u201cWhen asked if I would accept the Pope\u2019s invitation, I said I love Pope Francis and would do anything he asked.\u201d<\/p>\n<p><iframe loading=\"lazy\" src=\"https:\/\/www.youtube.com\/embed\/eBFcMyS66_Y?rel=0\" width=\"560\" height=\"315\" frameborder=\"0\" allowfullscreen=\"allowfullscreen\"><\/iframe><\/p>\n<p>Often quoting Pope Francis, and drawing on the Pope\u2019s Exhortation, <em>La gioia del Vangelo<\/em>, Bishop-elect Stowe spoke warmly about his commitment to the poor and those on the margins of society.
