Father Miguel Briseño was born to Robert and Juanita Briseño and raised in Artesia, New Mexico with his 6 siblings. He came to know the Conventual Franciscans at a very early age due to the fact that they were stationed in his home parish, Our Lady of Grace. Due to the fact that they lived 2 blocks away, and his parents were very much involved in the parish, they encouraged the kids to also get involved in the life of the parish as well. All of his brothers were altar servers and had the opportunity to serve during the week and on Sundays. Because of the ministry of altar serving, Father Miguel had the privilege of getting to know some of the friars who were stationed at the parish. However, it wasn’t until after college that he began to discern his vocation with the Conventual Franciscans. His journey with the Conventual Franciscans continues to be a great one that has led me to his present ministry at Mt. Carmel in El Paso, Texas.
