Friar Dinh Anh Nguyen Nhue, Vice Dean of the Pontifical Theological Faculty of St. Bonaventure (Seraphicum) of the Friars Minor Conventual, is among the winners of the “Carlo Maria Martini International Award” for its Bible and Culture division.
His work examines the biblical proverbs of Viet Nam, the image of Jesus the Son of God in the New Testament and in Vietnamese tradition, and finally, the language of love in the Song of Songs and in Vietnamese literature.
The Dean of the Seraphicum, Friar Dominic Paoletti, expressed great satisfaction: “This recognition of our confrere Friar Dinh Anh Nguyen Nhue is not only good news for our teacher and his serene and serious commitment to combine the Word of God and the word of man, but it is also good news for the academic community at the Seraphicum which is dedicated to explore the category of relationality as a theological and anthropological foundation of inculturation, made fruitful only through intercultural dialogue.”
Friar Nguyen is a member of the Province of the Immaculate Conception B.V.M. in Poland.
