In Loving Memory of Pope Francis
With hearts full of gratitude, we remember Pope Francis—our beloved Holy Father, the first pope from the Americas, and a humble follower of St. Francis of Assisi. His papacy was marked by compassion, simplicity, and an unwavering call to care for the poor, the Earth, and one another.
Pope Francis reminded us that the Church is a field hospital, where wounds are tended with mercy and love. He challenged us to see Christ in the face of every refugee, every prisoner, and every soul on the margins. In his encyclicals Laudato Si’ and Fratelli Tutti, he called the world to a radical solidarity and ecological conversion—principles dear to our Franciscan way of life.
As we mourn his passing, we give thanks for the light he brought into our world and the courage he inspired in so many. His Franciscan spirit lives on in every act of kindness, every cry for justice, and every step toward peace.
We will honor Pope Francis in a Special Edition of the St. Anthony’s Newsletter, dedicated entirely to his life, witness, and legacy. We invite you to join us in prayer and reflection as we give thanks for his extraordinary service to the Church and the world.
