The Franciscan friars of Mount Saint Francis warmly invite you to Beauty and Simplicity: The Spirit of the Mount, an exhibition drawn from their permanent art collection, on view at the Mary Anderson Gallery. Opening January 15 at 6:30 p.m., this exhibition offers a rare opportunity to encounter the rich artistic heritage that has flourished at The Mount for more than a century.

Featuring works created by artists connected to the friars throughout the past 100 years, the collection reflects the enduring dialogue between art, faith, and contemplation that defines the Franciscan tradition. Each piece speaks to the beauty found in simplicity and the deep reverence for creation that lies at the heart of Franciscan spirituality.

For the Conventual Franciscan Friars of the Province of Our Lady of Consolation, this exhibition is more than a display of art—it is a testament to a living legacy. Through these works, visitors are invited to experience how creativity, reflection, and faith continue to shape the spirit of the friars at Mount Saint Francis.
