Bishop Christopher Coyne, Auxiliary Bishop of the Archdiocese of Indianapolis, celebrated the Feast of St. Francis with Conventual Franciscan Friars from the Province of Our Lady of Consolation at St. Anthony of Padua Parish in Clarksville, Indiana. Following the 5 p.m. Mass, everyone was invited to stay for a delicious pot-luck dinner.
Bishop Coyne reminded us that our devotion to saints like Francis, as important as they are, should guide our way toward God. Just as Francis tried to model his life on that of Jesus, we each must make our own way on the road that leads to God’s eternal embrace.
We welcome Bishop Coyne to the area, and look forward to future celebrations with him.
