On March 4th, 2023 our beloved friend and benefactor, Mary Hart was called to her eternal home. Mary was an ardent supporter of the Franciscans, especially Franciscan Retreats and Spirituality Center in Prior Lake, MN. Mary’s relationship with the friars stretched from the days of Assumption Seminary in Chaska, MN in the early 1950s through today. A life-long Secular Franciscan, Mary radiated joy and enthusiasm for her Catholic faith to anyone and everyone. She was affectionately known as “the Shakopee Taxi,” because she was always taking people to doctor’s appointments, funerals, and retreats. Her sense of service and her joy inspired many.
