We are thrilled to invite you to an exclusive artist talk with Karen Boone, where she will delve into her ongoing exhibit, “Intertwined.” A culmination of her recent artist residency at the revered Swimming Hole Foundation in the magical Catskills, this exhibit is an embodiment of nature’s serene beauty transformed into remarkable sculptures.

During the talk, Boone will offer an intimate glimpse into her creative process, sharing the inspiration she draws from the tranquil surroundings of the outdoors. Each of her pieces, crafted from natural elements like mountain laurel, birch, rocks, and red creek clay, tells a unique story of its origin. Boone’s ingenuity shines in her sculptures, where she artfully integrates copper, upcycled wire, hemp twine, and clay, bringing forth the captivating essence of the wilderness into her studio.

The exhibit “Intertwined” is an exploration of relationships at multiple levels. The name itself is an homage to the intricate arrangements of branches and vines that grace Boone’s sculptures, and the profound connections they signify. As a viewer, you will be drawn into this mesmerizing interplay of organic forms, instilling a deep sense of connection to the natural world.
