Voices of the Violin with Aaron Boaz
An Evening of Music and European-Style Apéritif
February 27, 2026 | 7:00 pm
Mount Saint Francis Chapel
Acclaimed violinist Aaron Boaz takes the spotlight in Voices of the Violin, an intimate, genre-blending concert that celebrates the violin’s full expressive range. Joined by pianist Krista Wallace-Boaz, as well as guitar and bass, Boaz leads audiences through a vibrant musical journey that weaves together the elegance of classical tradition, the drive of bluegrass, the soul of jazz, and the warmth of improvisation. This concert will be held in the Mount Saint Francis Chapel beginning at 7:00 p.m. Tickets are $25.
Following the one-hour performance, guests are invited to enjoy a European-style apéritif reception featuring light fare, drinks, conversation, and spontaneous musical moments. Inspired by the rich tradition of European salons, the evening encourages audiences not only to listen—but to linger.
Aaron Boaz began violin study at age four and holds a Master of Music in Violin Performance from Northwestern University. He has presented numerous solo recitals and master classes and has appeared as a soloist with orchestras throughout the United States. He made his European debut as a guest of the Belgian Grand Consulate and has performed as a soloist in Ireland, England, Hungary, Germany, the Czech Republic, and Slovakia, as well as in a sold-out performance in Vienna, Austria. He currently serves as concertmaster of the Louisville Ballet. Primarily a classical violinist, Boaz has also appeared with the Maxwell Street Klezmer Band, jazz cellist Ben Sollee, folk icon Pete Seeger, and country music legend Pee Wee King.
Boaz has served as Adjunct Professor of Violin at North Central College and Bellarmine University; guest lecturer at the University of Louisville; artist-in-residence for the Jewish Community Center of Louisville; guest clinician at the Suwannee Summer Music Festival at the University of the South; and violin instructor and orchestra conductor for the Suzuki Summer String Institute at the University of Louisville. He also served as Director of Violin Studies at the Bloomingdale School of Music and interim violin instructor for the preparatory department of Wheaton College. He recently completed a seven-year tenure as Music Director and Principal Conductor of the Louisville Civic Orchestra and the Bellarmine University Civic Orchestra.
While maintaining a busy performing career, Boaz continues to serve as Music Director and Choir Master at Central Christian Church and as founder and headmaster of the Boaz Performance Academy.
