Friar Ken Bartsch is a Conventual Franciscan priest who dedicated his life to serving others through his ministry. Born and raised in the United States, he was ordained in 1975 and has since served in various states, including Ohio, Wisconsin, Minnesota, Louisiana, and Kentucky. He also spent a brief period in Melbourne, Australia, expanding his knowledge and experience of the world.
Apart from his ministry, Friar Ken Bartsch is an accomplished photographer who enjoys exploring the beauty of God’s creation. He uses his photography skills to capture the wonders of nature, which he believes reflects the divine handiwork. His photographs showcase the intricate details of the natural world, inviting viewers to pause and reflect on the beauty surrounding us.
In addition to his passion for photography, Friar Ken Bartsch also enjoys working out, writing poetry, reading, and engaging in conversations with others. He is grateful to be a Franciscan and live with ten other friars at Mount Saint Francis. Their primary ministries are daily prayer and community, and they strive to live in the peacefulness of God.
