Born in Kerala, India, in 1972, Friar Antony Nallukunnel has dedicated his ministry to formation, pastoral care, and leadership within the Conventual Franciscan Order. He earned degrees in philosophy and theology, later completing an MPhil in Ecumenism at Trinity College Dublin and a Licentiate in Missiology at the Pontifical Gregorian University in Rome.
In India, he served as Vice Rector, Novice Master, Rector, and Guardian at Kolbe Ashram, and directed the Franciscan Centre for Peace & Dialogue. His ministry later took him to Dublin, Ireland, where he was econom and parish priest of the Church of the Visitation of the Blessed Virgin Mary for nearly a decade. Returning to India, he served as Guardian and Parish Priest at St. Francis Assisi Church, Nattakkal, and as Vicar Provincial of the St. Maximilian Kolbe Province from 2019–2023. Most recently, he was Guardian of St. Bonaventure Franciscan Ashram in Bangalore.
In 2024, Friar Antony received an official appointment by the Archdiocese of Indianapolis as parochial vicar and campus minister at St. Joseph University Parish in Terre Haute, where he now serves the students of Indiana State University.
