The stucco and roof tiles are finished. The sidewalks are in place. Most of the inside work is done. Chairs will be set up, the altar moved in, and the sacristy prepared on Friday, January 2, 2015.

The new Chapel at Holy Cross Retreat Center in Mesilla Park, New Mexico, will be ready for retreatants on January 5, 2015. It will provide sacred space for groups of up to 200 people in joyful celebration in a church that’s dedicated for prayer.

The architecture is a tribute to the Franciscan influence on the people and culture in the Southwest, in missions, churches, and retreat centers stretching from Texas to California.

We thank everyone who has supported this project through their prayers and sacrificial gifts. We hope you will be able to visit us here in Mesilla Park, and spend time with God in an atmosphere of Franciscan joy and hospitality.
