Earlier this month, the Minister Provincial for our province, Fr. Jim Kent, joined with the Minister Provincials from Immaculate Conception (Fr. Justin Biase) and St. Anthony of Padua (Fr. James McCurry) to install three younger friars into the Ministry of Acolyte. Each Minister Provincial installed a friar from his province.

The new acolyte from Our Lady of Consolation Province is Friar Bryan Hajovsky. He was joined by Friar Gabriel Scasino (Immaculate Conception Province) and Friar Nick Rokitka (St. Anthony of Padua Province).  As Acolytes the Friars will assist deacons and priests during the celebration of Mass along with various other duties.

Traditionally, men who become Acolytes feel called to the priesthood and are undertaking the appropriate studies for this ministry. Friar Bryan is following this path.
