Interactive Docent Training Session

The Franciscan Arts Initiative invites current and prospective docents to an interactive Docent Training Session on Saturday, June 13, 2026, from 10:00 a.m. to 12:00 p.m. in the Mary Anderson Gallery at Mount Saint Francis Center for Spirituality.

Led by Andrew Hardin, this enriching session will explore the history of docents, offer an interactive experience with the artwork currently on display, and provide helpful guidance for engaging visitors with confidence and care. Following the training, participants are invited to stay for a potluck lunch at 12:00 p.m. in the Pump House. Andrew Hardin is an experienced art educator who teaches at New Albany High School and has previously managed the docent program at the Cincinnati Art Museum and worked in the interpretation department of the National Underground Railroad Freedom Center. His background in art interpretation and guest engagement will offer valuable insight for anyone interested in serving as a docent.
