Ann D. Chesebro, 103, formerly of Carey, Findlay, and Akron, Ohio, died on Tuesday, January 28, 2014, at the Wyandot County Skilled Nursing & Rehab Center in Upper Sandusky, Ohio.

Ann was born on July 9, 1910 in Wyandot County, Ohio to Carl J. and Philomena (Kuntz) Dirmeyer. She is survived by her daughter, Barbara J. (Larry) Robinson, Barberton, Ohio; five living grandchildren, Randal Arras, Leonard Arras, Laurie Arras, Lana Rufener, and Douglas Arras; five great-grandchildren, Stephanie Arras, Stacey Arras, Samantha Arras, Adam Rufener, and Matthew Rufener. Ann was preceded in death by a brother, Raymond W. Dirmeyer, Findlay, Ohio, and a sister, Marie Collet, Upper Sandusky, Ohio, and one grandchild, Mark Arras of Palatine, Illinois.

Ann attended Carey High School and was a 1929 graduate of Findlay High School. She retired in 1973 from the Ohio Power Company (now American Electric Power) where she had been a secretary for most of her more than 30 years in the Findlay office.

In 1983, as a tribute to her dedication to the Friars and their ministries, she was made an honorary member of the Conventual Franciscan Province of Our Lady of Consolation. She was a former member of St. Francis de Sales Catholic Church, Akron, Ohio, and, at the time of her death, a member of parish at the Basilica and National Shrine of Our Lady of Consolation Basilica, Carey, Ohio.

A Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated at 10:00 a.m. on Saturday, February 1, 2014, at St. Michael the Archangel Catholic Church, 617 West Main Cross Street, Findlay, with Fr. John Stowe, OFM Conv., as celebrant.
