Ann D. Chesebro, 103, formerly of Carey, Findlay, and Akron, Ohio, died on Tuesday, January 28, 2014, at the Wyandot County Skilled Nursing & Rehab Center in Upper Sandusky, Ohio.
Ann attended Carey High School and was a 1929 graduate of Findlay High School. She retired in 1973 from the Ohio Power Company (now American Electric Power) where she had been a secretary for most of her more than 30 years in the Findlay office.
In 1983, as a tribute to her dedication to the Friars and their ministries, she was made an honorary member of the Conventual Franciscan Province of Our Lady of Consolation. She was a former member of St. Francis de Sales Catholic Church, Akron, Ohio, and, at the time of her death, a member of parish at the Basilica and National Shrine of Our Lady of Consolation Basilica, Carey, Ohio.
A Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated at 10:00 a.m. on Saturday, February 1, 2014, at St. Michael the Archangel Catholic Church, 617 West Main Cross Street, Findlay, with Fr. John Stowe, OFM Conv., as celebrant. Burial will follow in St. Michael Parish Cemetery. Visitation hours are 6-8 p.m. Friday, January 31, 2014 at the Kirkpatrick-Behnke Funeral Home, 500 Lima Avenue, with the recitation of the Rosary at 7:45 p.m. The ladies of the Altar-Rosary Society will begin praying the rosary at 9:30 a.m. Saturday at the church.
