Brother Ian Bremar, OFM Conv., grew up in Portland, Texas, near Corpus Christi, and began his Franciscan formation in 2008. His journey with the friars has taken him to Minnesota, Maryland, Ohio, Indiana, and Illinois, enriching his experience of Franciscan community and ministry. He holds degrees in religious studies, pastoral ministry, and theology with a concentration in Scripture.
Throughout his ministry, Bro. Ian has served in retreat work, prison outreach, parish religious education, and college campus ministry. He now serves as Associate Director of Postulant Formation, accompanying and guiding men in their first year of Franciscan life and helping them grow into the charism of the Friars Minor.
