Support Our Senior Friars

For nearly a century, the Franciscan Friars of the Province of Our Lady of Consolation have been a source of hope and comfort for countless individuals. From late-night calls to anoint loved ones, to assisting families battling addiction, to comforting parents worried about their children, our friars have been there in times of need.

Now, our friars need your assistance. As they age, they face the same challenges as any family member: rising medical costs, the need for physical and mental health therapy, and other medical interventions. Although they have access to Social Security and Medicare since 2004, many costs are still not covered.

Your support can make a profound difference. By donating, you help ensure that our senior friars receive the care they need to live with dignity and safety. These “limited ministry friars” continue to serve the Order and the Church by praying for the intentions of our friends and benefactors, and they need our help now more than ever.

How You Can Help

Your financial and moral support is crucial. Your donation, no matter the size, is a pledge of thanks for the service these generous men have rendered to the Church and their communities. It’s a way to give back to those who have given so much.

Donate Now: Your contribution helps cover costs not met by Medicare and other programs. Use the form on this page to aid senior friars.

Submit Prayer Intentions: Include your prayer intentions with your donation, and know that our friars will keep you and your loved ones in their prayers.

Gratefully,

Fr. John Elmer, OFM Conv.

“They that hope in the LORD will renew their strength, they will soar as with eagles’ wings; they will run and not grow weary, walk and not grow faint.” – Isaiah 40:31

Brother Tony Droll, OFM Conv.(right), shares a compassionate moment with a Zambian woman affected by leprosy. With over 40 years dedicated to missionary service in Zambia, Brother Tony embodies selfless commitment to those in need. Unlike typical careers, his devotion comes without financial security. Support the Franciscan friars in their enduring mission to heal and uplift those most in need.
Father Valentine Jankowski, OFM Conv., continues to embody unwavering dedication and service, having been ordained on February 19, 1961, and serving as a priest for over 63 years. In this heartfelt moment, he is seen tending to his chickens, showcasing his nurturing spirit not only towards his parish community but also in the simple joys of daily life. Even beyond the typical retirement age, our friars often continue with their ministry and lifelong devotion to living the Gospel.
