A Glimpse of Grace
There are many stories I’d love to share. Right now, I’m off work while I recover from Lyme disease. Where I work, there are nuns living on one side of the building, and a convent behind us. About two years ago, with worries on my mind, I decided to go for a walk. As I rounded a bend, I was suddenly struck with awe as the sun rose over the trees. It was lightly snowing, and though I’d walked there many times before, I was overcome with an indescribable feeling. It seemed to emanate from the sun, filling me with something I can only describe as grace.
I took out my phone and snapped a couple of pictures. Weeks later, as I reviewed them, I marveled at how clear the snowflakes appeared. In one photo, I noticed a tiny turquoise light, no larger than a snowflake. Out of curiosity, I zoomed in, and to my amazement, the light revealed a face identical to the one on the Shroud of Turin.
I showed the picture to many people without suggesting what I thought it resembled, yet everyone immediately said, “That looks like Jesus.” I sent the photo to my boss, and she replied, “Andrea, oh my gosh! That’s the face I pray to every day—the face on the Shroud of Turin.”
I still can’t believe it myself.
God Bless you all. Peace
